How to beat: Ice troll
Unlike some rock trolls, ice trolls rarely let themselves be talked out of a fight, so cast Quen and apply ogroid oil before engaging. Their backs are heavily armored, so flanking does not help and you have to fight them head on; running away is not safe either, since they throw stones quickly and accurately. Their punches cannot be parried, so dodge, strike when an opening appears and dodge the counterattack. A reliable pattern is three or four fast attacks until it raises its guard, then step back as it throws its slow counter. Avoid fighting them in snowstorms, when they are noticeably stronger.
About
Ice trolls are semi-intelligent ogroids adapted to the coldest mountains of the Northern Realms and Skellige. Unlike rock trolls, they usually cannot speak the Common Speech and see every human as a potential meal. They are stronger and crueler than their rocky kin, carry thick armor on their backs and draw extra power from blizzards.
Loot
Possible drops – not every kill yields all of them.
