How to beat: Earth Elemental
Earth elementals soak up enormous damage, so expect a long fight even with your silver sword coated in Elementa oil, and expect your blade's durability to suffer. Dimeritium bombs are their real weakness and make them easier to hurt, though no less dangerous, while Axii and Igni do little and Aard causes only a brief stagger. Strike once or twice, then roll away from the counterattack, and when it lifts a foot be ready for a stomp that sends rocks bursting from the ground. If it jumps, get away fast, since the shockwave knocks you down and traps you inside a ring of rock for a while. Do not attack when it crouches behind its arms, as the blow is partly reflected back at you, and use Quen to trade hits through its slow, heavy attacks, with Yrden helping you avoid its punches.
About
Earth elementals are made of mud, clay, sand and rock dust bound together with water and animated by magic. They seem slow and ponderous, but they are extremely dangerous, crushing people with their fists or throwing huge rocks. They feel no pain from poison or fire, do not bleed and are practically impossible to knock off balance, and they guard places such as elven ruins and Ermion's laboratory in Kaer Trolde.
Loot
Possible drops – not every kill yields all of them.
