How to beat: Gargoyle
A gargoyle is as tough as an earth elemental but faster and more versatile, and Aard, Axii and Igni barely affect it. Its melee attacks cannot be parried, so dodge them, and use Yrden to slow it down. Ranged distance is no refuge: it throws rocks accurately and leaps onto you from afar, and it punishes reckless aggression with poisonous breath. Its most dangerous move is a ground stomp with a very short wind-up and wide reach, so keep Quen up, attack while it holds, and roll away when you see it raise an arm for a combo. Elementa oil, Dimeritium bombs and Quen are its listed weaknesses.
