How to beat: Giant centipede
Yrden is the key to this fight: a centipede that surfaces inside the trap is paralyzed and cannot burrow, so you can land a series of hits. Aim at its front, because its rear is largely immune to damage, and coat your blade in insectoid oil. After taking several hits it curls into a defensive loop; roll away at once, since it soon follows up with a wide sweeping attack and then burrows to reappear elsewhere. Do not trade blows carelessly, as it likes to parry and answer with a strong counter.
About
The giant centipede is a huge, armored insectoid with rows of hooked legs, especially common beneath the lands of Toussaint, where it often lives alongside shaelmaars. It burrows underground at great speed and resurfaces elsewhere, attacks with powerful mandibles and can spit acid. Its thick carapace deflects not only blades but also most magic, including witcher Signs.
