How to beat: Rock troll
A troll's back is armoured with rock, so attacks from behind do little and you have to fight it face to face. Its punches are too heavy to parry, and running away is no escape either, because it throws stones fast and accurately. Stay close, keep Quen up, land a few fast attacks and dodge to the side before it swings back. When it crouches and shields its head with an arm, stop attacking: this is a block that reflects damage, breaks Quen and is followed by a powerful slam. Coat your sword with Ogroid oil, and remember that some rock trolls can be reasoned with instead.
About
Rock trolls are hulking ogroids with stony growths covering their backs, usually found among rocks and in the mountains. They are not very bright, but some speak broken Common Speech, love riddles and rhymes, and can be talked out of a fight. Hostile ones are fond of stews made from humans, elves and nekkers.
