How to beat: Archespore
Archespores spit venom from range, lunge at you up close, and leave pods that explode with heavy poison damage, so roll away from any pod near you. After taking a few hits in a row they sink underground and resurface from another pod, leaving an exploding one behind. Roll rather than dash toward them to dodge the poison globs, then sidestep the lightning-fast melee strike that follows and punish it with a few quick and strong attacks before it retreats again. Coat your blade with Cursed oil, and note that Igni sets them alight but makes them relocate, while a Dancing Star bomb keeps one burning without forcing it to move. Against several archespores, keep one busy with fire while you attack another, and drink Golden Oriole if you can to counter the poison.
About
Archespores are monstrous, carnivorous flowers from Toussaint that are almost impossible to tell apart from ordinary plants until you are right next to them. Folk belief holds that they grow from soil soaked with the blood of the dying, which is why they turn up at sites of massacres and cruel rituals. They come in several color variants, attack with jaw-like leaves and can spray caustic, poisonous acid.
