How to beat: Dog
Dogs are not magical, so use your steel sword and coat it with Beast oil. A single dog is little threat, but a pack surrounding you is, so drop them one by one while dodging out of reach of the others coming from the sides and behind. They are light, which makes Aard very effective at pushing back one dog or a whole group. Their fur also catches fire easily, so Igni works well. Their speed and numbers make up for their lack of strength, so do not let them catch you unprepared.
About
Dogs are domesticated descendants of wolves, normally loyal, but they can turn wild, cursed or unnaturally ravenous, and then they become predators. The most dangerous are strays that have lost their fear of people and developed a taste for blood and carrion. They usually hunt in packs, picking on isolated victims that seem weak.
