How to beat: Wild boar
Boars circle Geralt at high speed and charge straight at him, and unlike wolves they do not pause after a lunge, so plain dodge-and-attack tactics work poorly. Slow them with Yrden or stun them with Igni or Northern Wind bombs to stop them in their tracks. Their charges can be countered: Geralt shoves the boar aside and lands a staggering blow that briefly stops it. Coat your blade with Beast oil.
About
Wild boars are aggressive, sturdy beasts armed with two pairs of tusks and a hard snout, added in Hearts of Stone and found deep in the Gustfields and in the wilds of Toussaint. Despite peasant tales, they mostly eat roots and acorns, yet they remain a real threat to anyone in the woods. They live alone or in small groups of three to five.
