How to beat: Rotfiend
Rotfiends roam in packs and fight much like drowners, but when badly wounded they go into a spasm and explode, damaging everything nearby. During that animation they cannot be harmed, so step away, or use the blast against other enemies, since it can set off a chain reaction among nearby rotfiends; in tight spaces this is very dangerous. Setting them on fire makes them die less violently and can stop the spasm, giving you time to finish them with the silver sword. A strong Aard can knock them down for an instant finisher, and the toxic gas they release then does not harm Geralt. Coat your blade with Necrophage oil.
About
Rotfiends are necrophages that resemble decomposing human corpses stripped of their skin, and they owe their name to the overwhelming stench of rot. They feed mainly on carrion around battlefields and disease-stricken areas but will attack the living too, usually in large groups and at great speed. Their bodies are filled with poisonous, highly flammable gases.
Loot
Possible drops – not every kill yields all of them.
