Resistant to Axii
How to beat: Leshy
A leshen rarely fights alone: it summons flocks of crows and packs of wolves, so deal with its helpers and keep moving. When it plunges its arms into the ground, roots are about to burst up beneath you, and the only reliable answer is to roll out of the area. Its claw swipes are slow but hit hard, so dodge instead of trading blows. After a few fast attacks it turns into a cloud of smoke and reappears elsewhere, attacking right away; hits during the transformation are partly reflected and break Quen, while Moon Dust can stop it from changing form. Coat your silver sword with Relict oil, use Igni, fire bombs such as Dragon's Dream or a Dimeritium bomb, and remember that Axii has no effect.
About
The leshen is an ancient forest relict that rules its woods with innate magic, bending plants and animals to its will. Fiercely territorial, it sees people only as prey and a source of life energy, yet in some regions villagers worship it and leave offerings at the forest edge. In The Witcher 3 leshens are found in Velen, Skellige and around Kaer Morhen.
