How to beat: Sylvan
Do not try to parry or counter a sylvan in melee; evade its blows instead. Yrden buys time to bring in the silver sword, but the sylvan can answer with a blast of flame that burns through even the best armor. If close combat goes badly, switch to the crossbow with good bolts. Coat your blade with Relict oil and use Igni, Samum and Devil's Puffball, all listed among its weaknesses.
About
Sylvans are rare, intelligent woodland creatures that look like stout, horned men with goat legs and love pranks, feasting and music. They usually limit themselves to harmless tricks and eating peasants' crops, but despite their rotund build they are surprisingly strong and agile, and they give off a powerful, foul stench.
