About
The Beast of Beauclair was a serial killer terrorising Toussaint in Blood and Wine, and witnesses could hardly describe what they had seen. Geralt eventually discovered that the Beast was a higher vampire, whose true name was Dettlaff van der Eretein. Higher vampires are among the most dangerous foes a witcher can face: superhumanly strong and fast, able to turn invisible, each with abilities honed over centuries.
