Blood and Wine

Updated October 14, 2026 · Patch 5.01

The alpha garkain is a stronger pack leader among garkains, a vampire Geralt hunts in Toussaint on a contract given, unusually, by another vampire. It has long, hooked claws that tear bodies apart and leave venom that keeps blood from clotting, and it can use them to climb sheer walls. It is an experienced predator that sets ambushes, and it kills for pleasure rather than hunger.
