How to beat: The Caretaker

The Caretaker's attacks are slow and clearly telegraphed, but every hit he lands heals him significantly, so avoid taking damage at all costs. Hits absorbed by Quen do not heal him, so keep the Sign up for the whole fight. When he summons dark spirits from the ground and his spade starts to glow, attack the spirits before he can absorb them. The best opening comes after he slams his spade into the ground to make a shockwave, as it stays stuck for a few seconds and you can land several hits. Coat your sword with Relict oil, and the Doppler decoction is very helpful in this fight.

About

The Caretaker is a demon-like relict from another plane, bound by magic to serve the von Everec estate in Hearts of Stone. It tends the gardens and mends the fences with tireless precision, and it buries every intruder it kills in neat rows beyond the manor grounds. It wields a spade as its weapon and feels no pain.

Loot

Possible drops – not every kill yields all of them.
