How to beat: Erynia
Erynias hunt in flocks and swoop in alone or in twos and threes, so approach nesting grounds carefully. When they dive close together, catch several with an area attack or a Grapeshot bomb, keeping its blast radius in mind. They often hover in front of you before striking; use that moment to counter or blast them down with Aard, which can also clear a path when you are surrounded. Igni can set them alight and bring them down, and Yrden helps in close quarters. Finish grounded erynias quickly with a silver sword coated in hybrid oil, and watch out for their bleeding wounds.
About
Erynias are a species of harpy found in Skellige, even more repulsive and dangerous than their cousins. They prefer rotten carrion but gladly eat fresh meat, including people. A flock circles its prey and then attacks from several sides at once, aiming at the neck, eyes and other vital spots so that victims often bleed to death.
