How to beat: Forktail
Bring a forktail down from the sky with crossbow bolts, Aard or a Grapeshot bomb, then fight it on the ground with a silver sword coated in draconid oil. Its tail stingers are venomous, so drink Golden Oriole before the fight. Dodge the tail swings rather than trying to block them, but keep an eye on its head too: its very fast bites can be parried and countered. It also slashes and kicks with its talons, much like a wyvern.
About
The forktail is a draconid related to dragons, but smaller and not intelligent, named after the blade-like growths at the end of its tail. It prefers isolated mountain peaks and rocky outcrops, hunts by day, usually alone, and preys on large animals, livestock and sometimes people. Like other draconids it fights both from the air and on the ground.
Loot
Possible drops – not every kill yields all of them.
